- PX-Claim (Emamectin Benzoate 5% SG) belongs to avermectin family of insecticides and primarily used to control caterpillars, borers, and other Lepidopteran pests in various crops.
- It has contact and stomach actions, eliminating the insects by interfereing with their nervous systems, causing paralysis and subsequent death.
- Though the insecticides acts by contact action action also, the maximum effect is seen when ingested by the insects.
- It shows translaminar activity by which the insecticide is absorbed through the leaves and thus killing the insects on the underside of the leaves too.
- It is a macro cyclic lactone insecticide and demonstrates lower toxicity to non target organism and the environment.
