MODE OF ACTION :-
- Simala contains Malathion 50% EC in emulsifiable concentrate form is a broad spectrum insecticide and acaricide acting on wide range of insects and pests.
- Simala ( Malathion 50% EC ) works by inhibiting the enzyme acetylcholinesterase in pests. This leads to overstimulation of their nervous systems, and ultimately in paralysis, and death.
- This insecticide is very effective for both agricultural and horticultural applications controlling sucking and chewing type of insects.
- It works by killing pests that come into contact with the spray or ingest treated plant tissues.
- It is a relatively safe on mammals and animals compared to other organophosphate insecticides. Thus it is widely used public health programs like the mosquito eradication programme, pest control in household and in warehouses storing grains etc.
